Exponents and Scientific Notation

First I am going to tell you about exponents. They are tricky at first, but you will get it in a little. For a example lets say you have the number 32. The three is the base number because that is the main number that you will be multiplying with. The 2 is the exponent that shows how many times the base number multiplies. The answer for 32 would be 9 because 3x3=9.

Next there is scientific notation. Say you have the number 520,000. First the easy part is you put down 52 because those are the only numbers besides 0. Then you count how many 0's there are. In 520,000 you would put down 52 and the since there are  4 0's you would put down 524x10 and thats your answer.
